Our Process

Phase 1: Initial Design Meeting:
The client meets with our designer to go over their project and begin laying it out. Each project we design is unique to its owner, so our design process begins with an initial meeting, in person or via phone, to discuss the needs, goals and dreams you have for your project. During this stage, the designer and client discuss price and budget and how to align both, from this information the designer can develop a preliminary design. Before a preliminary design can be received, the designer will provide an estimate for the proposed project. Once the customer approves the estimate, a half down deposit will be required to start project and receive the preliminary design.
For the Initial Design Meeting, bring any information that you have to paint the picture of what you have in mind for your desired project; from Pinterest boards, sample floor plans online, to napkin sketches, we encourage it all! With the information, our goal is to put your dreams and ideas onto paper.
Phase 2: Preliminary Drawings:
After our Initial Design Meeting, we will use the information to prepare preliminary drawing drafts. The project designs are reviewed multiple times by the client and customer. We are happy to make changes you feel are necessary, but there is a limit of 6 changes; extra changes will require an additional deposit. The length of time it takes to develop an initial design for a client is largely driven by how confident they are with their needs and wants. A designer may work with a typical client for weeks to months before committing to the best layout to work with. Once we have created the footprint of your design, we can start customizing the exterior elevations and other details of the project. From these drawings, renderings will be created to see the design come together and how it will look! A project is not considered final until the client says so.
Phase 3: Final Plans
After the last reivisions are made and the client signs off on the final draft, our drafter works to create the final plans. Clients are required to make a final deposit before final drawings can be received. Once complete, we provide you with PDF files of the drawings, as well as up to four printed copies on 11x17 paper if requested.
